Atlas working on Hong Kong International Airport
Hong Kong Airport Authority appoints Atlas to deliver as-built BIM models of Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport.
Atlas Industries is delighted to announce its first major contract for its new Hong Kong operation. It has been appointed by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) to deliver an as-built BIM model of the over-700,000m2 Terminal 1 building at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) utilising laser-scan technology in order to enable AAHK to manage the terminal more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Atlas has extensive experience in managing and delivering large, multi-disciplined digital projects across the globe. The team will be led by Steve Read, Atlas’ Director of Operations and will be supported by their in-country team.
Joe Woolf, Founder and Chair of Atlas said, “I can think of no better way for Atlas to launch its Hong Kong office than with this announcement. HKIA is one of the largest engineering and architectural projects in the world, and our work will help AAHK to build the Digital Twin of HKIA and run the enhanced Terminal 1, the third largest passenger building in the world more efficiently. We look forward to working closely with them to deliver the project.”
