Senior Structure Associate

Role &
Responsibilities
  • Lead structural design and documentation, ensuring adherence to international standards.
  • Review and approve design calculations, construction drawings, and technical reports.
  • Ensure quality control in documentation and adherence to construction processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 20+ engineers and technical staff across multiple projects.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers, ensuring design and documentation consistency.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and senior management for smooth project execution.
  • Manage structural modelling and documentation workflows to meet project deadlines.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring efficiency and budget control.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring budget control and risk mitigation.
  • Optimize processes for efficient project delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Communicate project progress, technical details, and potential challenges effectively.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients. Ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Lead proposal preparation, contract management, and project acquisition.
  • Oversee resource planning, cost control, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by identifying new opportunities and improving operational efficiency.
Requirements

Qualification, Skill & Experience

 

  • B.Sc., or above in Structural Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years experience in structural engineering, with a focus on documentation and design.
  • At least 8 years of experience producing and managing structural documentation, including calculations, construction drawings, and technical reports.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications.
  • Experience managing complex, large-scale infrastructure projects (bridges, tunnels, transportation systems).
  • Experience delivering projects in regulated environments (e.g., UK, EU, Australia).
  • Structural Modeling/Detailing: Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD.
  • Structural Analysis Tools: Robot, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000.
  • BIM Platforms: Navisworks, BIM 360, Revizto, Trimble Connect.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reports.
  • Familiarity with construction project management tools (MS Project or equivalent). (Preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.

 

 

Other Requirements

 

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of international structural design codes and standards (Eurocodes, AISC, BS, ACI, ASCE, AS).
  • Proficiency in preparing design calculations, construction drawings, and technical reports.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, documentation workflows, and quality assurance practices.

 

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Experience in leading teams of 15+ engineers and technical staff across multiple projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, consultants, and senior management.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with design and documentation standards.

 

Project Management

  • Experience managing documentation workflows to meet deadlines.
  • Strong time management skills for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Expertise in budget control, risk management, and process optimization.

 

Client Relationship Management:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Effective communication with clients, senior management, and external parties.
  • Ability to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.

 

Business Development

  • Experience in preparing proposals, managing contracts, and securing new projects.
  • Understand financial goals such as profitability, resource allocation, and cost control.
